The system status graphs show the status of your IP Voice PBX over the last 24 hours.
Calls
The calls graph shows the number of calls made as well as the number of call legs. The calls made shows both internal (between extensions) and external (a call into or out of your PBX).
Every call is made up of multiple call legs, for example, a call from an extension to the outside world has two legs, one leg from the extension to the phone system, the second leg from the PBX to the outside world.
If you have multiple handsets set to receive inbound calls, you will see many more call legs than calls as each handset registered to receive inbound calls requires a leg to be initiated to start the call.
Registrations & Registrations Changes
The registrations graph shows the number of handsets (extensions) that are registered to your PBX. This graph may go up and down as handsets register and de-register from your network, if you use softphones (desktop or mobile app) then this will reflect changes as users log in and out, turn of their computer, or, when their mobile network drops out when moving.
Subscriptions are a function of the handsets to monitor, for instance, the status of another extension or voicemail messages from a mailbox. This will generally go up and down with the registrations, just at a higher level, as handsets may have multiple subscriptions.
The registration changes graphs shows clearly at what time registrations are removed or added to the system. If a large number of registrations are removed at the same time, there may likely be a problem with your site's internet connection.
Call Quality
The call quality graph shows a measurement of IP Voice called the Mean Opinion Score (MoS). The MoS rates calls based on lost voice packets, delayed packets and the average latency of a call.
In Australia, the inter-carrier voice network uses a compression algorithm known as G711.A, with this compression algorithm in place, the maximum call quality is rated as a 4 on the MoS graphs. For a comparison, talking person to person in the same room is considered a 5.
Please Note: When looking at call quality you must remember that the system can only measure the digital data that is sent to it, other call quality issues, such as a bad microphone, or where the issue is in the remote carrier's network, are not detectable by mean opinion score.
