Lightning IP uses the 0NSN numbering format for routing calls to the public network. Here are some helpful guides to make sure that your PBX can make and receive calls.
Making Calls from your CPE / PBX
Calls to the following CLDs (Called Numbers) should be passed through as is without a country code or :
- 000 / 106 - Emergency Services
- 1800 / 1300 / 13 - Toll & Toll Free Numbers
- 04 - Mobile Number Calls
- 02 / 03 / 07 / 08 - Geographical numbers
The Area Code must be added to locally dialled numbers (8 Digit Geographical Numbers).
International calls must use the 0011 prefix.
Your CLI (Caller Line Identifier) must also be formatted to 0NSN format. E.164 format is also acceptable in some circumstances, however, may not be reliable.
Receiving Calls to your CPE / PBX
The CLD (Called Number) will be formatted with the 0NSN number format for Australian number.
The CLI (Caller Line Identifier) will be formatted with the 0NSN number format for incoming calls.
At your request we can support sending the CLD number for a Direct In Dial (DID) in either the Diversion Header or the URI.
