Setup TP-Link TD-VG5612 on Lightning IP

You will need to know your Lightning IP Username and Password for your internet service. The username may end with @connect.lightningip.com.au or @wba.lip.network

Connect Your Modem

  1. Make sure that your modem is connected to the NBN network through the DSL port on the back of the modem and to an active NBN socket.

Launching Quick Setup

  1. Connect your device to the TP-Link TD-VG5612 Modem/Router.
  2. From your web browser, enter the URL http://192.168.0.1/ or http://192.168.1.1/
  3. You should see the login screen
  4. Login using the default username and password:
    username: admin
    password: admin
  5. Click Quick Setup on the left hand side menu.

Complete Quick Setup

  1. From the Quick Setup launch screen click next
  2. Set the correct region and time zone information
  3. Auto Detect your connection type 

  4. DSL Setup
    Make sure that the fields are set as follows:
    ISP: Other
    L2 Interface Type: VDSL
    Enable VLAN ID: unticked
    Connection Type: PPPoE(PPP over Ethernet)
  5. Set Username & Password
    Set your username and password as supplied to you
